Whether you’re buying a new kettle on Amazon or booking an apartment on Airbnb, reviews are essential in helping customers make their decision. This is the same for families choosing what to do with their kids. Respond to positive reviews too

Replying to reviews is a chance for you to show potential customers who you are. It’s common to reply to negative reviews, but when someone leaves genuine, heartfelt positive feedback, it's really important to also respond to this.

There isn’t always time to reply to everyone, but where a parent has taken the time to say how much they love your activities, saying a simple “thank you, hope to see you again!” shows that you care about your customers. It’s an opportunity for you to show potential customers your personality and encourage your existing customers to return.

Great reviews make great marketing

Positive feedback can be used as a testimonial on your website or social media. Learning about other families’ good experiences at your activities increases the likelihood that prospective customers will go on to book your activities, so spread the word! Do more of what your customers love

Learning exactly what makes families keep coming back to your activities means that you can do more of it! Is there a particular teacher who little ones adore? Encourage other teachers to learn from them. Do people love your original songs or energetic dance classes? Make sure families know what makes your activity stand out from the crowd, and keep doing it!

Positive feedback is always good to hear, and can encourage new customers to come along to your activities. If you do receive a less glowing review, don’t worry! Counterintuitive as it seems, customers are much more likely to trust a rating if it is less than 5 stars. While it’s still best to have mostly 4 and 5 star reviews, an occasional less glowing one can actually make you seem more genuine, and encourage more families to try out your activities.
